About Friends of the Earth Middle East :

Friends of the Earth Middle East (FoEME) is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. Its primary objective is the promotion of cooperative efforts to protect the shared environmental heritage of the region. In so doing, it seeks to advance both sustainable regional development and the creation of necessary conditions for lasting peace. FoEME has offices in Amman, Bethlehem, and Tel-Aviv. FoEME is a member of Friends of the Earth International, the largest grassroots environmental organization in the world.

Their role in Entitle:

FoEME has a long expertise on peace and conflict studies and especially on the integrated management of transboundary waters. As part of Entitle, FoEME is contributing to the development of the Manual for civil society / environmental justice organizations. FoEME’s experienced researcher studies the trade of virtual water between the Palestinian and Israeli communities. During her stay in FoEME she developed the capacity of the organization’s members in using modern water assessment tools, such as the virtual water or the water footprint.
