Christos Zografos

Christos Zografos is an environmental social scientist whose work focuses on the study of environmental governance and change within the fields of ecological economics and political ecology. He is the Research Coordinator for the FP7 SSH research project 'Climate Change, Hydro-conflicts and Human Security' (CLICO) and a Visiting Lecturer for MSc programmes at the University of Edinburgh, UK. His research explores the relevance of participation and deliberative democracy for sustainability governance and the application of political ecology for studying power and the politics of environmental decision-making and change.

His past research has looked at climate change mitigation (wind energy) conflicts, ecotourism, and the use of discourse analysis (Q methodology) for exploring environmental values. He has a PhD in Environmental Sciences (UAB), an MAS in History & Economic Institutions (UAB), and an MSc in Ecological Economics (University of Edinburgh). Christos has previously worked for five years as a Lecturer in Environmental Economics at the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) in Edinburgh, UK. He is the main editor of a recent book on Deliberative ecological economics (Oxford University Press) and a lead author of one of the chapters of 'The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity' (TEEB D0) report.
