About Bogazici University :

Bogaziçi University, originally established in 1863 in Istanbul along the shores of the Bosphorus, has about 10000 students and more than 800 academic staff. The university brings together political economists, sociologists, environmental scientists and political scientists solid in theory and analysis and in policy-oriented research. The department of economics, in particular, with a faculty of around 20, provides a flourishing research environment to scholars and visiting researchers.

Their role in Entitle:

The Bogazici team will host the final Summer School of Entitle on the topic of institutions and democracy. The mentors involved in Entitle have experience on the political economy of development, ecological economics and the study of ecological distribution conflicts. Bogazici’s early stage researcher studies the political ecology of hydropower in the Himalayas.
