Live stream of the keynote sessions from the ENTITLE Latin American Conference of Political Ecology
Under the auspices of the ENTITLE project, the Department of Geography at the University of Chile is organizing the first-ever Latin American Conference of Political Ecology. The conference with the title "Problems and New Latin American Approaches of Political Ecology: Post-neoliberalism, Neo-extractivism and Public Policies" will be held next 21st to 24th of October in Santiago de Chile.
The conference will bring together about 150 participants around the globe, including international renowned speakers such as Prof. Eduardo Gudynas, expert on development strategies in Latin America and the Mexican environmental economist Enrique Leff. The key themes of the conference include: socio-environmental conflicts and justice; energy, water and mining; socio-natural disasters; the commons and new perspectives of development; state, environmental policies and democracy and urban political ecology.
